DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

We have intentionally chosen not to work with insurance. Unfortunately, insurance puts restrictions on what they will cover (regardless of what’s going on), and this can often cause many providers to make care recommendations based on what will be covered. This will not be us. Our duty is to YOU as the patient to ensure that YOU are receiving the care that is appropriate for YOUR case. The other reason we’ve made this choice is because insurance often denies claims for patients under 2 years old- as this is a LARGE chunk of the patients we see, we felt it was a better use of our time to spend on caring for you instead of chasing insurance to recoup our payments.

Because of all of this, we’ve set our rates low enough that most people find that they are comparable, and often even better than what the cost would be if they would use their insurance.

WHAT’S A SUPERBILL, AND WHY WOULD I USE IT?

A superbill is an insurance version of a receipt (it includes diagnostic and procedure codes- the things insurance cares about). Some of our patients who know they have out-of-network-provider benefits will request a superbill from us, and they will submit it to their insurance themselves. For some patients, they will receive a full reimbursement. For others, it may just apply to their deductible. Either way, we are more than happy to provide that for you upon your request.

DO YOU ACCEPT HSA/FSA?

Yes! Many of our patients like being able to use this form of payment in our office. Make sure you keep your receipt, as some HSA/FSA carriers will want proof of what the money was spent on to ensure it was a legitimate health care cost.

DO YOU OFFER FAMILY PLANS/PRICING?

Yes! We are a family-focused office, and at every phase of care, any family that has multiple family members under care will be given the opportunity to take advantage of our discounted pricing. Pricing decreases per adjustment the more family members you have on care.

DO YOU ACCEPT MEDICARE?

We do not bill Medicare in our office. And unfortunately in the state of Virginia, if we (as the providers) do not bill directly to Medicare ourselves (on behalf of the patient), we cannot legally see you or accept payment. So if you are an individual who has Medicare, we will be happy to share with you the names of some of our friends who will provide you with great chiropractic care and will also be able to bill to Medicare!

DO YOU HAVE A MILITARY & FIRST RESPONDER DISCOUNT?

YES! Dr. Kimmie’s dad served in the Navy for 27 years, so she has a big heart for all those who have served our country. Our Military Discount extends also to first responders, and applies to anyone who is active duty, reserves, or retired, along with their dependents. All patients who this applies to will receive a 10% discount on their adjustments.

SO HOW MUCH DOES CARE AT CFC COST?

Just like you, we appreciate transparency, so we want to be up front: the most you will ever pay for an adjustment is $50. However, as you can see above, there is a lot of variation in the cost of care based on things like which family member # you are, whether you’re a member of the military, and more. So most of our patients find that they don’t actually pay this amount. We really recommend completing your new patient exam so that we’re able to give you our exact recommendations so you know what the cost of care will be for you!
