Limited Range of Motion
In chiropractic, our key focus is addressing what are called subluxations. A subluxation is composed of a misalignment in the joint, coupled with this misalignment being stuck this way. The misalignment plus the fixation in this improper position leads to many problems, one of which is a limited range of motion. This problem can arise at any joint in our body. Over time, a subluxation at any given joint will affect the muscles, ligaments, etc. that are associated with that joint. All of these issues together create the perfect storm of a limited range of motion. It can often lead to a great deal of discomfort, and will almost always lead to altered biomechanics and function.
